Clifford Harris aka TI, was all set to perform at the BET Hip Hop Awards show but could not make it because he was arrested and his Atlanta home raided. For whatever reason TI was stock piling a gang of guns. Only problem he is a convicted felon. The 2nd problem is he sent a bodyguard to buy him three machine guns and two silencers. 3rd the bodygaurd was arrested and told the Fed everything.

The guns were not registered on the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record as required by law. The bodyguard — who has worked for Harris since July — told authorities he had bought about nine guns for the rap star in the past, the statement said.

On Wednesday, authorities said, Harris arranged for the bodyguard to pick up $12,000 in cash from a bank to buy the guns. After his arrest, the bodyguard made phone calls to Harris, which authorities recorded, the statement said.

Harris was supposed to pick up the guns after meeting the bodyguard in a shopping center parking lot in midtown Atlanta. Authorities arrested Harris there without incident, the Justice Department statement said.

I just dont get it. TI is a millionaire rapper. He has movies under his belt. A new movie with Denzel Washington “American Gangster” getting ready to come out, and he still feels the need to buy weapons illegally? I mean why do you need gun silencers? So you can quietly use your machine gun in self defense? Silencers are for covert murders, plain and simple. You cant fire a warning shot, nobody can hear it. Ohwell…I hope for the sake of his kids he can figure a way out of this mess.
